Milestones...

So I've been thinking about starting this blog for quite a while now, and I'm finally getting around to it! I'm excited to see how this blog is going to develop over time, and I'm pretty loose about what exactly the format will be like.  For now, I'm just going to start sharing whats going on in my days.

Today was a pretty big day as far as school was concerned.  I presented my proposal for my thesis.  I'm going to be doing a study on how nurses in ERs feel about drug-seeking patients.  It felt pretty good to get the presentation done (I am not a fan of giving presentations), but now the impending project is looming over me.  My deadline for the proposal is August 1.  Better get going!

I did make it to the gym today, and had a fairly decent work out.  Today was a 20/10 class (20 seconds hard interval, 10 seconds of rest) for about 45 minutes.

Nick started working an extra day every week so while I only work 3 days a week, he works 4 which means tonight I was home alone.  It is strange, I used to be so independent, and now when I'm faced with a night home alone, I have no idea what to do.  So, I did what any normal girl would do...I had breakfast for dinner!  Banana and white chocolate chip pancakes, cheesy eggs, and bacon.  I walked Cooper around the neighborhood and we ran into so many other dogs.  The best was when Cooper (who does not bark, at all) saw a little girl who was maybe 18 months old.  She was kind of walking/being held up by her mom and Cooper went crazy.  He actually did a slight bark at her.  It was kind of funny!
And then I headed to the liquor store to pick up a little something for Nick...

And a little something for me...

This is my first experience with Skinnygirl Sangria.  I find that I like the Skinnygirl Margarita, but prefer it mixed with a little Diet 7 Up.  I think I would prefer the sangria mixed with maybe some Fresca.  Alone it is just a bit too sweet for my taste.  But the night was warm, and I wanted something cold, and this did do the trick!

Thanks for reading, stick around, there'll be more!
